Goshen Indoor Tournament Rules
1.We will use an indoor ball of appropriate size: U-8, U-10, & U-12 will use #4, U-13 & up will use #5.
2.The playing area will be the floor, two end walls and sidewall with a height
restriction (see rule 3). The
boundary on the bench side will be a touchline.
3. If the ball goes out of bounds it will be kicked in. Any ball hitting an
overhanging structure will be played as an indirect kick from the center mark by
the opposing team. Any ball hitting above the mat on the end walls will
be awarded either a corner kick or a goal kick by the opposing team.
U13-U14 sidewall will have a height restriction.
4. For U8-U12, 5 players + goalkeeper will be
allowed on the field. For U13-U14, 4 players + a goalkeeper will be
allowed on the field. Substitutions may occur on an unlimited basis,
providing the player leaving the field arrives at the bench before the
replacement player enters the field. Infringement of this rule will result
in an indirect kick for the opposing team.
5. After the goalkeeper makes a save, the ball must touch a player, floor or
wall before crossing the centerline. Infringement of this rule brings the ball back to the center mark and an indirect kick will be awarded to the
opposing team. The goalie must
make two touches outside of the box before kicking the ball over the half line
in the air.
6. Standings will be determined by a point system that is
tallied at the end of the tournament:
3 points will be awarded for a win
1 point will be awarded for a tie
0 points will be awarded for a loss
In the event of a tie, the following steps will be used to determine winners:
Head to head competition (in the event of a three way tie this tie breaker is thrown out)

Goals for
A shootout between the tied teams following FIFA regulations with an adjustment of three shooters.
7. There will be no offsides.
8. All outdoor rules apply. Drop kicks going over half in the air by the goalkeeper are not allowed. The tournament committee will evaluate additional penalties for players issued cards.
9. All kicks are indirect. All free kicks will be taken from the point of the infraction except for the following adjustments:
If a penal foul occurs within penalty area, a penalty kick will be taken.
10. During a free kick any opposing team player must be 10 feet away.
11. A corner or goal kick is awarded any time the ball has fallen out of play behind the goal. The goal kick may not cross the centerline unless it has come into contact with a player, floor, or object before hand.
12. Slide tackling is not allowed.
